The problem

Thousands of pets vanish in Vietnam every year — no app needed, whoever finds them should be able to help

Up to 70% of disappearances happen in seconds: a gate left open, a loud noise, or simply a curious pet following a stranger. By the time you notice, they are somewhere nobody knows — no collar, no phone number, and above all no fast way for a kind stranger to reach you.

The traditional answers — an engraved metal tag, a microchip — all require one thing: whoever finds your pet must own specialist equipment or get to a clinic. In real life, that helpful person usually has nothing but a phone in their hand.

The answer

A QR passport on the collar — one scan is all it takes

Every pet on VowVet gets a unique QR code, printed on a metal tag that clips to the collar. Whoever finds your pet only needs a phone camera — any phone, no VowVet app — to scan it.

A public page opens instantly in the browser: photo, name, breed, year of birth, critical health notes (allergies, current medication), and most importantly the owner's phone number, partially masked by default. The finder can tap to call straight away — the full number only appears when they genuinely need to dial.

  • No app required

The finder needs only a phone camera — no VowVet install, no account. Open camera, scan, call.

  • The owner's details stay protected

The number is masked (*-*-***83) until they tap "Call to help". No scraping, no spam.

  • Health data stays private

Only what a finder needs is public. Clinic visits, vaccines and body condition score remain yours alone.

If your pet goes missing — wake up the Pet Heroes near you

Within five minutes you can post your pet as missing on VowVet. The system broadcasts to every pet owner within a 5 km radius who has push notifications on. A network of hundreds of amateur detectives becomes your eyes and ears.

Anyone who spots your pet can file a sighting with a photo and location. VowVet's AI vision compares the sighting against the reference photos you uploaded — and only pushes to you above a confidence threshold, so you are not drowned in noise.

A lost pet stops being one family's lonely story. It becomes the whole neighbourhood's mission.

Getting started

Three steps to a passport

  • 1. Build the profile

Upload photos from several angles (face, profile, full body, distinguishing marks). The QR code is generated and stored for you.

  • 2. Print the metal tag

VowVet can print a professional QR tag and deliver it, or you can print it anywhere — the PNG/SVG files are in your dashboard.

  • 3. Clip it to the collar

The tag is waterproof and scratch resistant. Replace it whenever the collar changes — every six months for a growing puppy.
