Why VowVet is safer, plus 10 rules to follow
🛡️ Why is a VowVet playdate safer?
Compared with meeting up through a Facebook group, a Zalo group, or an ordinary classified ad:
Automatic vaccine verification
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: you just take a stranger's word that "the pet is fully vaccinated"
VowVet
VowVet checks ≥2 vaccines actually completed in the app → impossible to fake
Owner identity verified
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: anonymous clone accounts, no idea who the real person is
VowVet
Every owner has a verified phone/email plus Pet Score history → traceable
Fake profiles hidden automatically
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: scam profiles with no way to spot them
VowVet
≥3 user reports → hidden automatically, pending VowVet review within 24h
One-tap block, hidden both ways
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: harassment forces you to delete the account or change your number
VowVet
Block inside the app → neither side sees the other again, no notification sent
AI match compatibility
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: you only find out whether the pets get along after meeting — wasted time
VowVet
VowVet AI scores 5 factors up front → only shows matches ≥30%
22+ verified pet-friendly places
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: you find a meeting spot yourself and it may not allow pets
VowVet
VowVet suggests verified cafes/parks → nobody turns you away
Chat log kept in the app
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: messages can be deleted, leaving no evidence in a dispute
VowVet
Every chat is stored in VowVet → evidence if a violation has to be handled
Hotline + Triage on standby
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: if a pet gets hurt you are on your own, with no idea who to call
VowVet
One-tap emergency: call 0779 029 133 or open the Triage tree in the app
Owners verified as 18+
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: kids use adult accounts, nobody carries legal liability
VowVet
VowVet requires owners to be 18 or older during onboarding
Transparent Pet Score history
FB / Zalo group
Facebook/Zalo: no way to know how the other pet is cared for
VowVet
Check the partner pet's Pet Score → see whether the owner is responsible
✅ 10 rules to follow
The app is only a tool — the rest is on you.
1 Full vaccination
Both pets must have completed at least 2 core vaccine shots before meeting. Bring the vaccine record along.
2 Meet in a public place
For the first meeting always pick a busy pet-friendly park or cafe. Do NOT arrange to meet at a private home.
3 Owners keep watch
Do NOT let the two pets play alone. Owners must stay 2-3m away and keep both in sight.
4 Leash when needed
Loosen the leash gradually once the two have sniffed each other safely (5-10 minutes). Keep an aggressive pet leashed the whole time.
5 Start gently
Let the two play for 15-20 minutes first. If tension builds → separate them and try another day.
6 Never force socialising
If a pet backs away or gives a warning bark → stop. Forced socialising can cause trauma.
7 Bring separate water and treats
One bowl per pet. Separate treats to avoid allergies and fights over food.
8 Be ready for emergencies
Save the nearest clinic's number. If a pet is bitten → rinse with water, apply antiseptic and see a vet within 2h.
9 Breeding needs research
Do NOT breed as an amateur. If you do choose breeding, run health screening (hip, eye, heart) first.
10 Report anything suspicious
Fake profile/spam/harassment → tap the Report button. Mon Min will review within 24h.
⚠️ Important
VowVet is not responsible for events outside the app. You are responsible for your own safety and your pet's. If something feels wrong: get your pet away from danger, call the nearest vet, and report it in the app.
🚨 Emergency
If a pet is injured during a playdate: call the nearest vet right away. Open Triage in the app to gauge how urgent it is.
